Faezeh Zandieh is the second-place recipient of the 2024 residency at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Saint-Étienne.

Painting is my calling, and though the journey may not be smooth, it doesn't deter me from this pursuit. I've embraced all the hardships and challenges of being a painter to protect my art. I believe it's one of the few things that anchors me in this world, like seeing the sun every morning.

On the occasion of the 24th Printemps des Poètes, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Communication, Galerie Emrooz and URDLA invited 14 Iranian artists to work on the theme of this 24th edition, "The Ephemeral," through the "Young Talents" competition.

The artist Faezeh Zandieh is the first prize winner of this competition and has been awarded a residency.
